OUR OWNER AND FOUNDER is a military veteran, an African-American, and a woman who is successful in her profession and passionate about community service. In the military, Mary became involved in engineering and construction technology which lead to a career in data and mapping technology as a civilian.

Mary previously served as Local Government Coordinator at the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). In this role, she acted as a liaison between GDOT’s Office of Transportation Data and Georgia’s 159 counties and 530 municipalities for statewide programs such as the Local Maintenance and Improvements Grant (LMIG) and regional programs such as the Transportation Improvement Act (TIA). In addition to LMIG and TIA, Mary was the technical manager and project lead for the federal mandate launched under Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21). Her position also involved collaboration with the Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Municipal Association, and the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia.

Mary regularly volunteers with the Cub Scouts, Open Arms Group Home, The Total Belle/Tailor-Made Royal Retreats, and the City of Powder Springs. Open Arms Group Home is a private, residential facility in Powder Springs where troubled teenage boys receive mentoring and counseling while continuing to attend public school. The Total Belle/Tailor-Made Royal Retreats provides coaching and mentorship for African-American college students. As a humble public servant and resident, Mary regularly volunteers for community service events with the City of Powder Springs such as “Pick Up Powder Springs”.
